Terms and Conditions
Event Conditions:
A suitable cycle helmet MUST be worn by all riders.
Riders should ensure their transport is in a roadworthy condition and suitable to complete their chosen ride and distance (bicycles with stabilisers will not be suitable for the loop section of the ride).
Any rider whose bicycle becomes unrideable during the event should alert an Event Steward who will arrange for them to be recovered with their bicycle to the event start area.
Allowable vehicles:
– Bicycles (incl. tandems, penny farthings, bike trailers)
– Three wheeler bicycles
– Electric bicycles

Riders should be sure they are medically fit to enter the event and, if in any doubt, should consult their medical practitioner. The Organisers accept no responsibility for a rider’s medical condition or ability to complete the event. First Aid will be provided by an authorised First Aid organisation. In an emergency situation please ask the closest steward for assistance or telephone:- 01702 413220 (Please store this number in your phone).
Under no circumstances will riders be permitted to enter the event under the influence of alcohol or any form of illegal substance.
All riders must wear, pinned to the front of their shirt, their Rider Number containing their unique QR Code, which will be provided at registration on the day of the event. ENTRY TO THE ISLAND WILL BE REFUSED WITHOUT THIS NUMBER.
There is no direct access to Foulness Island for riders, everyone must pass through the start gate in Cupids Chase. There is no access to Foulness Island for any unauthorised vehicles.
The use of CAMERAS, WEBCAMS or any other photographic device is strictly prohibited on Foulness Island.
Some parts of Foulness Island are extremely dangerous, and security is a high priority. You must not deviate from the sign-posted route or leave the road to pick flowers, picnic etc. Do not touch any unusual item/s found on or around the route and report any such items to the nearest Event Steward immediately.
