Find Out More About The Foulness Bike Ride

Foulness Bike Ride is an annual charity cycling event on Foulness Island organised by Southend City Rotary Club

Starting from a car park close to Cupids Country Club in Wakering, our event offers a family-friendly cycling experience with a route that allows you to cycle between 11 and 23 miles.

The Foulness Bike Ride enables you to raise funds for the charity of your choice. If you don’t have a chosen charity, you can take part in support of our 2025 official charity: the Macmillan Information Centre at Southend Hospital.

Our unique route allows participants to ride the usually restricted roads of Foulness Island. You could also stop along the way for homemade cakes and refreshments at the Foulness Heritage Centre.
